Dr. Beckey was born and raised in Douglas, GA. She graduated from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and has been practicing here ever since. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, but has special interests in Reproduction, Onocology and Geriatrics.
Dr. Beckey has been a member of the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine since 2005 and served as President in 2008. She serves on the Legislative Action Committee for the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and is the past President of the American Association of Veterinary State Boards. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She has been a very active member of Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society and served in various board roles. She is a long standing committee member of the Thomasville Center for the Arts and chaired the 2011 Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival. Dr. Beckey was named Humanitarian of the Year in 2003 by Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce. She was named Georgia Veterinarian Of The Year in 2010 by the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Beckey has laborador retrievers that she loves to hunt with and competes in AKC Hunt Tests. She also has 3 chihuahuas and 2 cats.
